Mary Marulli and Debra Harvey have served as Co-Directors of Sawyer Nursery School since 2001. They meet all of the Director qualifications required by the Massachusetts Department of Early Childhood Education and Care (EEC). Debra and Mary rotate their responsibilities as Teachers and Administrators. Debra and Mary began as Co-Teachers at Sawyer in 1996 and as Co-Directors in 2001. Together they run the music program for all four classes.
Mary’s interests are focused on pre-literacy skills and music and movement. Debra enjoys math and science activities.
Gloria Hulse is teacher certified by the EEC. Gloria teaches the 2-day Puppy Group and the 3-day Panda Group. She is known as our “resident artist” due to her many creative abilities. In addition, Gloria is math oriented.
Jean Humphrey is teacher certified by the EEC. She also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. Jean is talented in the areas of science and social studies. Jean teaches in the 2-day Kitty Group and the 3-day Koala Group.
Sharon Petersen is Lead Teacher certified by the EEC. She also holds a Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. Sharon is strong in the areas of science and nature. Sharon teaches in the 2-day Puppy Group and the 3-day Koala group.
